About WinesExplained

At WinesExplained we are passionate about fine Hungarian wine. We believe that Hungary is rightly positioned as a wine growing area and our nation can be proud of this country's products. As a wine connoisseur, WSET Advanced certified in London, we have full understanding of international and local styles.

We work on giving an insight into the world of Hungarian wines for expatriates who reside longer in our country and who have an affection for fine wines. We also aim to persuade all other foreigners, travellers and tourists that Hungarian wines are just as valuable, elegant and exciting as those of other, better-known wine growing nations.

WinesExplained works in the form of a civil law partnership (CLP) as regulated by the Hungarian Civil Code Article 6:498. An individual CLP is set up for each wine course with the participation of minimum 8, maximum 12 members. Each CLP is created  for for a fixed time, limited to the duration of the wine course. Participation is subject to payment of capital contribution (a "fee") which is not refundable once the CLP agreement has come into force. The fee covers the logistic expenses, the tuition fee and the tasted wines.
